Here’s the latest video from my favorite New Yorkers Au Revoir Simone. I had the great pleasure to see them live at the Botanique a few weeks ago where they played for the second time this year. They were charming and nice as always.
This video was first showed on David Lynch’s TV website. He really seems to like the band a lot.

I’ve been catching up with the season 2 of Gossip Girl. They, most of the time, have very good music played on the show. I usually know most of it but at the end of episode 19 they played this Thom Yorke/Radiohead soundalike song that I never heard before.
The might Google helped me to put a name on the band and song.
The band’s name is Home Video and the song is I Can Make You Feel It

Bat For Lashes at the Roundhouse, London. October 13, 2009

So I was in London one week ago to attend both Bat For Lashes shows at the Roundhouse. Amy kindly invited me to stay at her place and we attended the concerts together.
I was very pleased on both nights, I can’t get tired of seeing them live. They were actually better than when I saw them last spring. Half of the songs were from the first album.
They will be playing at the AB in Brussels on Halloween but I’m making plans to see them in Luxembourg and Amsterdam.
Here’s a clip of the Roundhouse show I found on the web. The audio quality is far from perfect but it will give you an idea. Have a special look at Sarah Jones, the drummer, she’s really talented.

I’m at Brussels South train station waiting for the Eurostar for London. I’ll spend 48hrs in the British capital. The main purpose of my visit is to attend the two shows that Bat For Lashes will play at the Camden Roundhouse.
I’ll go to the shows and be staying with Amy. I met Amy in India at the Kagyu Monlam two years ago. She visited Brussels in the spring when we also went to a Bat For Lashes show.
Of course I’ll do some shopping too. For Cheukyi who gave me a detailed list for Abercrombie & Fitch but probably for me too. I’ll have to stop at Howies in Carnaby. I also hope to visit the Tate and hopefully have time for the Wallace and Gromit exhibition near Green Park.
